Vol. 197 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Whiddy Island (Cork) Pier.

13.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware of the difficulty experienced by Whiddy Island farmers in getting their livestock landed at the pier at Whiddy, County Cork; and that there is a great need for the urgent improvement of this pier; and whether he will take steps to ensure that this work receives immediate attention.

The Commissioners of Public Works have been asked to make an engineering survey and report on proposals to improve landing facilities at Whiddy Island. The case has been noted for attention in 1963.
