andMr. Coughlan asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he has received from building trade operatives a request that wet time benefits should be increased; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The question of increasing wet time benefit rates has been under consideration following discussions with representatives of the Trade Unions concerned. In accordance with the request of the Trade Union representatives at the latest discussions, which took place within the past few days, the matter will now be discussed with the employers' representatives in conformity with the usual practice.
