Vol. 199 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kildare Estate.

60.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he has received an application from the Kildare County Council for portion of the Clark Estate at Ballyshannon, Derrinturn, County Kildare, at present in the possession of the Land Commission, for the purpose of erecting houses thereon; and whether the Land Commission propose to accede to the request.

An application on the lines mentioned has been received by the Land Commission from Kildare County Council. The matter is at present under consideration and there have been discussions between officials of my Department and the county council. A decision will be reached as soon as possible.

Does the Parliamentary Secretary say whether the decision is likely to give satisfaction to the county council?

I think it will be a satisfactory one all round.
