Vol. 200 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers - Tagging of Calves.

18.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that expense and inconvenience are being caused in Meath and Kildare because he has discontinued the Departmental tagging of calves; and if he will restore the system previously in operation.

This matter has been under active consideration in my Department, and it is hoped to introduce at an early date new arrangements for calf tagging, which herd-owners should find satisfactory.

Can the Minister give any indication of the earliness of the date?

I could not say but it will not be very long.
