43.

asked the Minister for Local Government (a) the total amount expended on grants and subsidies for housing in the year ended 31st March 1963; (b) the number of houses in progress on the nearest convenient date, indicating private houses as distinct from local authority housing; (c) (i) the estimated numbers of unfit and overcrowded houses in county health districts, or (ii) the numbers of such houses in so far as they have been disclosed in returns relating to the housing survey received from those authorities who have made returns; and (d) the names of those local authorities which have not yet completed or returned the results of the housing survey.

As the reply is in the form of tabular statements, I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.

Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork South, Donegal, Galway, Kilkenny, Laoighis, Limerick, Louth, Monaghan, Waterford, Wexford.
