Vol. 203 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Protection of Wild Life.

30.

asked the Minister for Lands whether it is his intention in the near future to introduce legislation with a view to protecting various forms of wild life in this country; and whether he has contacted any naturalists and other bodies with a view to ascertaining their views on the matter.

The answer is "No". The Game Preservation Act, 1930 and the Wild Birds Protection Act, 1930, afford a large measure of protection for game and wild birds.
