asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will state in respect of the CIE Superannuation (Amendment) Scheme for regular wages staff (a) the income and expenditure of the fund since it was last valued, (b) details of all members in respect of age and length of service, (c) the rate of influx of members with specific reference to the number and ages of entry, and (d) the rate of influx by way of death, withdrawal, and retirement.

The information requested at (a) of the Deputy's question, and part of the information requested at (b), that is, the ages of members of the Superannuation Schemes for regular wages staff, is in the form of tabular statements (Schedules 1 and 2) which I propose, with the permission of An Ceann Comhairle, to have circulated with the Official Report. I am informed by CIE that the remaining information is not available and that its compilation would entail a very substantial volume of work.
