Vol. 205 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wexford Traffic Bye-Laws.

125.

asked the Minister for Justice when it is hoped that the traffic bye-laws for Wexford town will be made by the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána and submitted for confirmation by the Minister for Local Government.

The making of these bye-laws ran into various difficulties, both of a drafting nature and otherwise, since the Deputy's last inquiry but I am informed that the problems now seem to have been almost solved and that the Commissioner hopes to be able to make the bye-laws within the next month.

As the Deputy is no doubt aware, however, the Minister for Local Government is required by the Road Traffic Act to defer confirmation of them for at least a month after that.
