asked the Minister for Justice (a) the date upon which the Ground Rents Commission was constituted; (b) how many sittings have taken place to date; (c) whether an interim report has been issued and, if so, whether it has been considered by the Government and with what result; and (d) when the Commission is expected to provide its final report.

127.

asked the Minister for Justice the present position with regard to the Ground Rent Commission Report.

I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 126 and 127 together.

The Ground Rents Commission was established on 2nd December, 1961. They have held seven public and 27 private sittings to date. No interim report has been issued. I understand that they hope to submit their report to me early next year.
