Vol. 205 No. 10

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Clonmany (Donegal) Road Work.

15.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will reconsider his decision on the application for a rural improvements scheme grant towards a proposed road work at Gort, Clonmany, County Donegal in view of the fact that the road is in a very dangerous condition and is more used than other roads in the district.

I assume the Deputy refers to an application from Mr. John Gill, Gortfad, Clonmany, Lifford and described by him as a bridle path from Roosky Bridge to Harry Doherty's house at Gortfad road.

The cost of protecting this footpath from erosion by the Clonmany river is much too high in relation to its utility and I regret that I cannot see my way to alter the earlier decision against the giving of a grant.
