asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of applicants for telephones in Limerick City and County which are outstanding at the present time, and when he expects that these needs will be satisfied.

The numbers are 109 and 185 respectively. About half of these will be dealt with in the next few months.

Because of the necessary concentration on urgent long-term work in the interest of subscribers generally, it may not be possible for some time to clear the remaining applications.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of applications for telephones outstanding in the constituency of Dublin South-West; and when it is expected that they will be dealt with.

The number is 300 approximately. Almost two-thirds of these will be dealt with in the next few months.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of applications for telephones (a) in Galway City and (b) in West Galway; and when he hopes to deal with them.

The numbers are:

(a) 112

(b) 180.

About 80 of these will be dealt with in the next few months.

Can the Minister say when (a) will be dealt with?

The total number of waiting applicants is 112. About 34 will be dealt with in the next few months. All but one of the remaining cases are 1963 applicants and we will reach them as soon as we can.
