Vol. 206 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Telephone Applications.

13.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state in relation to County Kerry the number of applicants for telephones outstanding at present.

The number is about 165.

14.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of applicants for telephones in the North Kerry area, and the cause of the delay in meeting the demand.

The number is about 80. The delay in clearing some applications is caused by the large increase in demand and by the concentration on urgent long-term work in the interests of subscribers generally.
