Following is the statement:
There is no information in my Department regarding any recent housing survey in any of these areas other than the unfit housing survey initiated at my request in May, 1960, the results of which for each area are set out in Cols. (2) and (3) of the tabular statement. I have no information as to the number of applications for housing on hands or of the number of persons recommended for improved housing in these areas. The number of housing schemes at present under consideration with a description and progress statement for each scheme is set out in Col. (4) of the Statement.

The housing authority intimated by letter dated 2nd April, 1963, that 16 further houses at Broom Lane were contemplated but technical proposals for these houses have not yet been received. |
