asked the Taoiseach if any further negotiations have taken place between this country and the EEC in relation to Ireland's application for membership.

The answer is in the negative, but discussions between senior officials of Ireland and of the Commission of the European Economic Community are due to take place in Brussels on tomorrow week, the 13th instant, in accordance with the arrangement made at the Ministerial meeting with the Commission last November.
