Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of East Cork Holdings.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission will take steps to examine and acquire the holding of Lady Christobel Pygott, Knockgriffin, Midleton, County Cork, which has been let under the eleven months' system for the past number of years.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission will examine for the purpose of acquisition the estate of Mrs. Flowers, Castlemary, Cloyne, County Cork.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission will consider the acquisition of the holding of David Costine, Shanagary, Midleton, County Cork.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 21, 22 and 23 together.

There are no proceedings for acquisition of these three properties but the Deputy's representations have been brought to the notice of the Land Commission for consideration.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission will examine and acquire some 1,500 acres at Trabolgan, Whitegate, County Cork, at present owned by the oil refinery company and let in conacre for the past five years.

Previous inquiries established that these lands are required for the company's purposes. In the circumstances, the Land Commission do not propose to take any action in the matter.
