Vol. 208 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Duleek (Meath) School Classrooms.

30.

asked the Minister for Education when the building of extra classrooms in Duleek National School, County Meath, will commence; and when it is proposed to have the work sanctioned.

It is understood from the Commissioners of Public Works that work on the erection of an additional classroom at Duleek girls' national school is nearly completed.

The accommodation in the boys' school is adequate.

Is the Minister aware that the work was almost completed about four months ago, except for a small painting job? Is he aware that it has since been completed, completed since the putting down of this question, and would the Minister now advise the Board of Works that it is wrong to hold up a job such as this for several months just because a small painting job has to be done?

My information here is that it is not almost completed, but is nearing completion.

They are already in the school. I am sure the Minister will be glad to hear that.
