Vol. 209 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Killiney Housing Estate.

50.

asked the Minister for Local Government the present position regarding the taking in charge of the Springhill Estate, Killiney by the Dún Laoghaire Corporation; if he is aware that after more than three years the residents on the estate are still not provided with the normal services; and if the developer has either completed the outstanding works or has made provision for these works to be completed without expense to the ratepayers.

I have been informed by the Dún Laoghaire Corporation that the developers' solicitors were notified on 5th instant of the works remaining to be completed before this estate can be taken in charge by the corporation.

Is the Minister aware that the developing company in this case is in the process of going into liquidation and can he ensure that the necessary works will be completed before that is explained?

I am sure every effort will be made to do that. I was not aware of what the Deputy says.

Would the Minister make further and better inquiries?
