Vol. 211 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Watergrasshill (Cork) Water Supply.

13.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that the Cork County Council pump at Skehanagh, Watergrasshill, supplying eight families, has been out of order for the past two and a half years; that the people of the district have to travel over a mile for domestic water; and that despite repeated appeals and complaints nothing has since been done; and if he will take steps to see that this essential water supply is immediately restored.

I understand from Cork County Council that the pump has been out of order for a considerable time and that a number of unsuccessful efforts have been made to repair it. I am asking the council to expedite the provision of a water supply in the area.
