Vol. 211 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Emo Park (Laois) Road Repair.

35.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will cause inquiries to be made into the bad state of repair of the road used by the Forestry Section of his Department at Emo Park, Portarlington, County Laois; whether damage has been caused to this road by the loading of a fallen tree, or whether lorry traffic has put the road into bad repair; and if he will have it improved and a suitable fence provided so that local stock will not be allowed to trespass on the lands of his Department and cause great inconvenience to five local farmers who have a genuine grievance in regard to this problem.

I am not aware that damage has been caused to a road at Emo Park in the manner stated. A fence adjoining the road was damaged by a falling tree and arrangements have been made to have the fence repaired.
