Vol. 211 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Leitrim-Roscommon Rural Improvements Scheme.

6.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in respect of the year ended 31st May, 1964, for (a) County Leitrim and (b) County Roscommon the number of applications therefrom under the Rural Improvements Scheme, the number of applications inspected, and the number awaiting inspection; and when it is anticipated that these inspections will be completed.

The figures asked for are in the form of a tabular statement which I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report.

I cannot say how soon all the outstanding applications will be inspected. All will be dealt with as quickly as possible but only those applications received prior to 30th September, 1963, can be included in the current year's programme of approved works. The remainder must wait over for next year's programme.

Following is the statement:—
