Vol. 212 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Loughlinstown (Dublin) Dance Hall.

29.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of a proposal to erect a dance hall at Loughlinstown Village, County Dublin; and that this proposal is opposed strongly by the residents on a number of grounds including the absence of parking facilities and the fact that a dance hall would interfere with the amenities of the residents in a heavily populated residential area; and if he will ensure that no such proposal is sanctioned.

I understand that the planning authority recently refused permission for the erection of a dance hall at Loughlinstown. No appeal against that decision has been submitted to me. If such an appeal is received, any representations made by or on behalf of local residents in connection with it will be considered.
