Vol. 213 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Management of Dublin Airport.

16.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will make a statement in relation to the reported change in the control of Dublin Airport; and if he will indicate what effect, if any, such a change will have on employment and on the wages, conditions and concessions at present applicable to all staff in the Airport.

Certain changes in the legislation relating to the management of Dublin Airport are at present under consideration in my Department but these proposals have not yet reached the stage of a submission to the Government for authority to prepare the necessary legislation. The Deputy will appreciate that before any changes are made, legislation will be necessary and the Oireachtas will be given a full opportunity of discussion. I can assure the Deputy that no worsening of conditions of any employees at the Airport is contemplated.
