Vol. 213 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Recognition of University of London Degrees.

43.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that the National University of Ireland refuses to recognise BA degrees from the University of London although such degrees are recognised by his Department; and if, as such an attitude on the part of the NUI effectively stops some national teachers from proceeding for a Higher Diploma in Education at Colleges of the NUI, he will have steps taken to remedy this position.

This is a matter for the Senate of the National University, which is an autonomous body.
