Vol. 214 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Control of Foreign Commercial Interests.

32.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if, in view of the encroachment of foreign commercial interests, he will consider taking measures to control the opening of new shops, stores or super-markets, whether or not their opening or erection is in accord with planning legislation.

There is no evidence before me that the operations of foreign commercial interests here call for the taking of the measures suggested by the Deputy.
