Vol. 214 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Anniversary of 1916 Rising.

18.

asked the Minister for Education if, in view of the fiftieth anniversary of the Rising of 1916 next year, he will arrange in association with the school managers to provide the schools with a framed copy of the 1916 Proclamation and the Tricolour.

As already announced a committee has been established under the chairmanship of An Taoiseach, to organise and plan the ceremonies and celebrations to commemorate next year the fiftieth anniversary of the Rising of Easter Week, 1916. The steps which I may decide to take in the matter must have regard to the recommendations of the Committee.
