Vol. 215 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Wexford Estate.

28.

asked the Minister for Lands how many applicants there are for parcels of land from the Joynson Estate at Ballybrittas and Milltown, Tagoat, County Wexford; and when it is proposed to make the allotments.

Agreement has been reached for purchase by the Land Commission of some 43 acres of this estate. As the lands have not yet passed into their possession, however, it is too early to indicate when allotment will take place. To date, five applications for allotments have been received in the Land Commission. I should say that all eligible claimants, irrespective of whether or not they have made formal application, will be considered by the Land Commission before a scheme of division is formulated.

What is the acreage?

Forty-three.

It will not go far, will it?

Every little helps.
