I hope to be in a position to bring the Act into operation before the end of the present year, a consequence of which will be new activities in the Land Registry under sections 23, 49 and 70. These activities do not include the extension of general compulsory registration to prescribed areas as this will not come into operation until Orders are made under section 24.
