asked the Minister for Social Welfare what is the present number on the unemployment register in Gardiner Street Employment Exchange, Dublin.

The number registered as unemployed at the employment exchange, Lower Gardiner Street, on 14th May was 3,227.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare what is the present number of staff and the number of the various grades employed in Gardiner Street Employment Exchange, Dublin.

The number of staff at present serving in the employment exchange, Gardiner Street, Dublin, is 64 comprising: 1 assistant principal officer; 1 higher executive officer; 9 staff officers; 29 clerical officers; 7 clerk typists; 5 temporary clerks; 1 blind telephonist; 4 messengers; 6 cleaners.

The number of staff serving in Gardiner Street, as in the Department's other exchanges, fluctuates from time to time with variations in the volume of work.
