Vol. 216 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Movement of County Donegal Livestock.

43.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that citizens of the Republic are not permitted to take their livestock from one part of County Donegal to another part of the same county over the concession road through the Six Counties from Pettigo and Lettercran except on the twentieth day of each month; and, if so, if he will make immediate representations to remedy this inconvenience.

I am informed that this is the position under the terms of the Imported Livestock Order, 1958, operative in Northern Ireland. If the Deputy will give me particulars of inconveniences caused by the Order, I will see what representations I can appropriately make for improving the situation.
