Vol. 217 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Farm Building Grants.

78.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will consider increasing the farm building grants to help offset the large increases in building costs that have taken place in the last year.

New or increased farm building grants for a number of purposes were introduced in 1964.

In view of the increase in costs over the past 12 months, will the Minister consider increasing these grants further?

I do not think there is any great demand for an increase in these grants at present. In fact, the grants are being more and more extensively availed of and would seem to be giving fairly general satisfaction.
