asked the Minister for Lands when the Land Commission expect to divide the estates acquired in the Knocknagree area, Mallow, County Cork.

At present the Land Commission have only one estate on hands in the area mentioned—a 77 acre property taken over in January last. If at all possible, a scheme of division will be prepared to permit of the allotment of the lands before the end of the current financial year.

Two further properties, aggregating some 214 acres, are in course of purchase in the locality but it is still too early to indicate when they will come into the possession of the Land Commission or when allotment will be feasible.

asked the Minister for Lands when the Land Commission expect to divide the Condons Estate, Inchimay, Nadd, Banteer, County Cork.

This property has, in fact, been purchased by the Forestry Division of my Department, but an area of some 60 acres is being made available to the Land Commission for land settlement. Allotment will take place when the necessary legal requirements have been finalised, which is expected to be soon.
