On 15th October, I sanctioned the proposal of the County Laois Vocational Education Committee to increase the wage of their clerk of works. The payment of the increased wage is a matter for the committee.
The delay which occurred in this case was largely due to the fact that a revised proposal was received from the committee regarding the size of one of the relevant building projects and that a revised decision on the size of that project had to be taken before the wage could be determined.
