Vol. 218 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clondalkin Sewage Service.

205.

asked the Minister for Education if he aware of the fact that sewage mains have recently been laid at Robin Hood, Clondalkin, County Dublin, but that no attempt has been made to service the school and houses there which are in urgent need of sanitation; and if he will take steps to have this matter rectified.

The Commissioners of Public Works have prepared details of a scheme of improvements for St. Killian's national school, Robin Hood Road, which includes the provision of a water carriage system of sanitation. My Department is in communication with the Reverend Manager in the matter. When the necessary preliminaries have been completed, the Department will sanction a grant towards the cost of the works.

Has the Minister any idea when we might get this?

It is difficult to say because there is more than one party to the negotiations.
