Vol. 218 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kildare Housing Grants.

20.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that there are continual complaints in relation to the delay in payments of grants in Co. Kildare; and whether he can take steps to have payments expedited in view of the pressure by building contractors on those carrying out the erection of new houses and also reconstruction work.

I am not so aware. The general grant position in Co. Kildare is satisfactory and there is no evidence of undue delay in the payment of housing grants. The work in the area is up-to-date in all respects, both at the inspection and administrative ends.
