Vol. 218 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sale of State Cars.

26.

Mr. Barrett

asked the Minister for Justice if he will give details of the number of Mercedes motor cars owned by the State which were sold over the past six months; the original cost of each car; the mileage completed by each car at the date of sale; the price paid by the purchaser; if the sales of such cars were advertised; whether the sales were by auction or otherwise; and the number of tenders or bids for each car.

No State-owned Mercedes motor cars were sold during the past six months.

Mr. O'Malley

But the transatlantic planes were sold and they had no mileage up.
