Vol. 218 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Castleconnell (Limerick) Housing Scheme.

28.

asked the Minister for Local Government if a proposed scheme of houses at Castleconnell has been submitted by Limerick County Council; the number of houses for which sanction was sought; when the proposal was received by his Department; and when it is expected that sanction will be given.

A proposal by Limerick County Council for the acceptance of a tender for the erection of 30 houses at Castleconnell was first received in my Department on 18th August last, but was incompletely documented. The further documents required were received on 2nd September. An application for sanction to the raising of a loan to finance the scheme was received on 15th October and is being considered in conjunction with the tender. A decision will be conveyed to the council as soon as possible.
