Vol. 219 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Subsidy on Dairy Products.

50.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries whether any discussions have taken place between officers of his Department and representatives of cooperative creamery societies regarding the question of subsidies being paid to the larger dairy products manufacturing firms; whether, as a result of such discussions, any investigation has been made into the profit margins of these firms; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

No such discussions have taken place. The level of subsidies on exports of dairy products is a matter for An Bord Bainne.
