Vol. 221 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Killiney Speed Limit.

30.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will make a recommendation for the erection of speed limit signs at selected points in Killiney village, County Dublin.

My Department informed Dún Laoghaire Corporation last August that no objection was seen to the provision of 30 m.p.h. repeater signs on appropriate roads in their area. I understand that the matter is being considered by the corporation at present. The Deputy will appreciate that the provision of traffic signs is a matter for the local authority acting at the request, or with the consent, of the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána.
