The compiling of this information would involve the deployment of a large number of staff over an inordinate length of time. I am satisfied that the disruption of the ordinary work of the Department which this would entail would not be warranted. Arrangements are being made whereby in future years the statistics for each school will be put on punched cards. This will enable more varied information to be obtained in a relatively short time.
