Vol. 225 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Development Plan.

20.

Mr. O'Leary

asked the Minister for Local Government if he can state to what extent the recommendations involved in the Lichfield Plan have been accepted; and whether he is satisfied that the views of householders and of traders in the area concerned have been adequately considered.

In regard to the first part of the question, there is nothing which I can add to the information given on 17th instant in reply to the Deputy's previous questions.

I understand that the corporation have had extensive discussions and consultations with interests in the area, and that this process is continuing. If it should be decided to make a development plan for renewal in the area the corporation will be obliged to take account of any representations made to them in that context.

Mr. O'Leary

Has the Minister any information about what stage those discussions are at the moment with regard to the traders and householders in the area?

No. All I know is such discussions have taken place and are still in progress.
