asked the Taoiseach if he will give revised figures for the period 1960 to date in respect of farm profits, farm employment and average income per head per week in expansion of the information furnished in replies of 13th May, 1965.

The following tables show the data requested by the Deputy:

The number of persons at work is based on Census of Population figures and includes females. This appears to be the appropriate population figure to relate to total farm profits. The figures for numbers of persons at work from 1962 to 1966 will be revised when the relevant data from the 1966 Census of Population become available. The estimated income for 1966 is very tentative as it is based on incomplete information and may have to be revised substantially when fuller returns are available—particularly the results of the January, 1966 livestock enumeration.
