The County Kerry Vocational Education Committee decided in 1964 following a survey of the area that the provision of a vocational school at Sneem would not be warranted.
The committee has proposed that a school be provided in the Castlemaine-Firies area but has not decided on an exact location. This proposal will be amongst the matters to be considered at the local meeting which will be held following the issue to the committee and to other interested parties of my Department's educational plan for County Kerry.
