Vol. 227 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cabra (Dublin) Pedestrian Crossings.

18.

asked the Minister for Local Government if any arrangements have been made to increase the number of pedestrian crossings in the Cabra area of Dublin; and, if not, if he will take steps to ensure that this is done immediately.

The provision of pedestrian crossings is a matter for the local authority concerned acting at the request, or with the consent, of the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána. I understand that no proposals for the provision of additional pedestrian crossings in the Cabra area have been formulated by Dublin Corporation or by the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána.

I am having the Deputy's representations brought to the notice of the corporation and the Commissioner for their consideration.
