Vol. 228 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Tourist Road.

30.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether there are any proposals before his Department for the provision of a tourist road through the Comeraghs from Knockanaffrin to the Carrick-on-Suir-Rathgormac Road, County Tipperary.

There are no proposals currently before my Department in this matter. In March, 1966, a proposal by Waterford County Council to construct a road across the Comeragh Mountains with the aid of an amenity grant was rejected on the grounds that the proposed works did not come within the ambit of the grant scheme.
