A special fund of £100,000 has been made available this year to Bord Fáilte for the development of supplementary accommodation particularly farmhouse accommodation in the Counties Cavan, Clare, Donegal, Galway, Kerry, Leitrim, Longford, Mayo, Monaghan, Roscommon, Sligo and West Cork. Grants are being made available out of this fund for reconstruction, renovation and fitting of houses to make them suitable for tourists.
The scheme is being administered by Bord Fáilte in co-operation with the regional tourism organisations.
