Vol. 231 No. 11

Ceistenna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Future of Limerick Factory.

7.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries whether any decision has yet been reached regarding the future of a factory (name supplied) in Limerick; and, if not, why.

The consultants who were engaged to carry out a detailed examination of this business have submitted an interim report within the past week or so and this is now being considered. A decision will be reached as soon as practicable.

Could the Minister say if negotiations with an American firm are proceeding with a view to having this industry taken over?

The Deputy's information is correct.
