Vol. 231 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Supply of Drugs.

29.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware, since a reply of the 9th November, 1967, of a further report about the incorrect dispensing of drugs by the same or an associated company; and if he is yet able to indicate what action he proposes to take in relation thereto.

I have seen the further report referred to by the Deputy, which appears to be a matter for the British authorities.

In consultation with the Minister for Health, inquiries are still proceeding into the matter raised in the previous question which the Deputy addressed to me on 9th November last.

Can the Minister give any indication as to when he hopes these inquiries will be concluded?

I am afraid not but the sooner the better as far as I am concerned.

30.

asked the Minister for Health whether in relation to the alleged mislabelling of containers of drugs he has since received any answer to his communication referred to in a reply of the 9th November, 1967; and whether he has any further observations to make.

I have received a letter from the firm in question which purports to be an answer to my communication. My inquiries are not yet complete.

Is the Minister satisfied with the reply?
