Vol. 234 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Water Supply Schemes.

28.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will arrange with Kerry County Council for an early start to be made on the Emlaghmore water scheme, as a very large number of smallholders interested in the tourist guesthouse scheme are completely held up and are being deprived of a means of adding to their small incomes.

There has been no change in the position as regards this scheme since my reply to a previous question by the Deputy on this subject on 14th February last when I indicated that a decision on the Emlaghmore scheme must await the outcome of the review of water and sewerage schemes which is being carried out by sanitary authorities generally.

29.

asked the Minister for Local Government the cause of the delay in supplying the people of Killiskey, County Wicklow with a mains water supply.

No proposals have been submitted to my Department for a water supply scheme for Killiskey, County Wicklow.

Fair enough.
