Vol. 236 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Preservation of Habitable Houses.

43.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he intends to introduce any legislation to prevent the demolition of habitable houses which are in good condition, while the present housing shortage lasts.

The Housing Bill, 1968, which makes provision to control the demolition or use otherwise than for human habitation of certain houses, was introduced in the Dáil on 10th July last. I hope to be in a position to circulate the text of the Bill in the near future.
