Vol. 237 No. 3

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Factories.

63.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state in respect of two factories built at Cornelscourt, Foxrock, County Dublin (a) if any grants were paid by Córas Tráchtála or any other source, (b) the amount of any such grants and (c) if these grants were repaid when the factories were taken over and converted to a supermarket.

A grant of £7,900 was paid by An Foras Tionscal in respect of the building and equipment of one of the two factories at Cornelscourt now converted into a supermarket. No grant was made in respect of the other. The grant in question has not been repaid and I understand that the matter is the subject of discussions between An Foras Tionscal and the firm concerned. This firm has since moved into larger premises.
